Royal Wedding hats & fascinators

I just finished watching the Royal Wedding of William and Kate.  Yes, I actually got up at 5 a.m. to join in the festivities.  All I have to say is "wow".  Kate looked stunning, as did William and all the guests.

I guess I am right on trend with making my fancy fascinators! (hopefully business will pick up!) The colours and textures of some of the hats and head pieces worn by the guests at the wedding were brilliant.  I'm not too impressed with Princess Beatrice's piece though, that beige bow on her forehead was a little...shall I say....ugly???

I saw lots of colourful feathers and french netting.  I am currently working with french netting too, making bridal birdcage veils primarily - unfortunately it's very difficult to find (and expensive).

I'm going to try some new techniques to create a few of the looks that I saw.  I'll keep you posted!

Update and new photos

Here are a few new photos of some pieces that I've made recently.  I am also now offering hair pieces for children - fun for any occasion (birthday parties, flower girls, photo shoots etc.)!

I'm looking into adding more shows to my schedule this summer, I'll keep you posted!
